The Vice-President and Executive Committee champion a vision where sport becomes a catalyst for individual growth, community connection, and long-term positive change—leaving a lasting legacy in Montréal’s aquatic landscape.
We serve the aquatic community with dedication, fostering an environment that prioritizes strong collaboration, healthy growth, and the continuous pursuit of opportunity for swimmers, coaches, and families alike. Mandate
Elected by the General Assembly, the Vice-President of Competitive Swimming ensures the effective organization, implementation and development of Competitive Swimming programmes within the communities it serves. With the help of local and regional partners, he works with the President to grow the swimming community and promote participation at all member pools.
The Vice-President is the primary liaison between members of the swimming community and the NAA. He is responsible for establishing good relations and coordinating operations with member pools, head coaches, officials, swimmers, parents and organizations aligned with the Association’s mission. He also provides support to member pools in implementing the programmes of Competitive Swimming, and documents all matters related to Swimming, such as times and rankings.
At the meetings of the General Assembly (GA), the Vice-President presents his orientations, his reports and his direction for Competitive Swimming. From this, the Vice-President then drafts and advances project and program proposals to the GA, which intend to bolster participation and improve Competitive Swimming activities. He works in close partnership with all members to develop proposals favourable to their individual objectives and which reflect their concerns.
