Welcome Back, Ballantyne Pool!
The NAA is pleased to welcome Ballantyne Pool (BAL) back to its Competitive Swimming Circuit for the 2025 summer season. After a one-year break in 2024 for renovations, BAL returns to Division B of the Circuit.
The history of Ballantyne and swimming dates back to the 1960’s, when BAL used to host the annual Canadian Swimming and Diving Championships. Throughout the 60’s, several Canadian swimming records had been broken at Ballantyne Pool.
The NAA also looks forward to welcoming back Westpark Pool (WPK) following the completion of its own renovations, and continues to work hand-in-hand with the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue (SAB) as it prepares rejoin the Circuit in 2026.
Ballantyne’s return is a step forward for the NAA, and a reminder of the important role each pool community plays in building a strong, participatory, and fun swimming culture.
Welcome back, Ballantyne. We’re glad to have you amongst us once again.
Please send and questions and comments relating to this communiqué to the Vice-President of Competitive Swimming.
