Webmaster Responsibility for content

The Webmasters and Administrators of the naaswim.com website assume no responsibility for the content of the posters on the site. Each poster is responsible for their own content. Materials are the copyright of their respective owners.
Webmaster internal editorial policy

1. We do not edit content with the following exceptions: – Content that is clearly offensive – Content that has no apparent relevance to swimming and/or the NorthShore Aquatic Association.

2. We do edit formatting and check for improperly formatted entries to ensure the stability and readability of the site Banner Advertisements.

In some circumstances, there may appear promotional content on the website in the form of “Banner Advertisements”. These banners may promote products or services which are not supplied by the naaswim.com website. The Webmasters and Administrators of the cnpcsc.ca website assume no responsibility for these products and services. The appearance of a banner advertisement promoting a product or service on the cnpcsc.ca website should not be considered an endorsement of said product or service and prospective clients of these products or services are advised to use their own due diligence in any business they may conduct with sites so referenced.

Any member who has an unfavorable business experience with any site referenced from the naaswim.com website should inform the Webmaster at webmaster@naaswim.com.

Scatological language

Scatological language will not be tolerated in any content. Anyone who views any scatological content on the site, should inform the webmasters immediately. In many areas of the website such as in the articles area, automatic filters will replace a managed list of scatological words with ***’s. Posters who continually abuse the scatological language policy will be barred from the site.

Offensive an abusive content

Content which singles out individuals with a clear intent to demean, harass, degrade or otherwise upset said individual will not be tolerated. The site is designed as a medium for the exchange of productive information for members of the NorthShore Aquatic Association and for members of the swimming community at large. It is not a venue for managing conflicts between individuals. Please take your arguments and flames offline.

Concern over photographs in the photo gallery

The site maintains an extensive gallery of photographs of NorthShore Aquatic Association events. The copyright and ownership of the photographs is the property of the photo taker who has requested that these photographs be posted on the site. If the owner (the picture taker) of a particular photograph wishes to have the picture removed from the website, they should contact the Webmaster found on NAA Executive who will remove it immediately. Photographs should be referred to by their gallery and photo name. Although the site has the capability to post a caption for each picture, it is our policy to not do so in order to maintain as much as possible the identities of our minor-age members confidential. Also, the names of pictures should not include the names of the swimmers in them.

If a swimmer is in a picture which has been posted on the site and the swimmer wishes to have the picture removed from the site even if he or she is not the only person in the picture, they should contact the Webmaster found on NAA Executive who will remove it immediately. This applies only to a swimmer who is in the picture. Requests to remove a picture from someone who is not in the picture will be considered only in exceptional circumstance. In the parent of a minor-aged swimmer who appears in a picture that has been posted on the website wishes to have that picture removed from the site, even if the swimmer is not the only person in the picture, the parent should contact an administrator at webmaster@naaswim.com who will remove it immediately. This applies only to parents of a minor-aged swimmer who is in the picture.

Requests to remove a picture from someone who is not in the picture will be considered only in exceptional circumstance.
