The Northshore Aquatic Association announces the launch of its 60th Anniversary project to revisit the history of the Association over the last six decades.
The project, led by Ms. Kiara da Chao, is expected to be presented at the annual NAA Championship “Big” Meet, on August 10, 2024. Ms. da Chao is a lifelong member of the NAA and recent McGill graduate who, in the next few months, will begin a Master’s in Public History at the Central European University in Vienna.
Through this project, the NAA intends to put a spotlight on the community aspect of pools and its importance in the community.
“This year is an incredible milestone for our Association, and this historical project will allow communities throughout Montreal to discover and learn about the NAA’s contributions in their neighbourhood”, says Leniyo Amayao, Vice-President of Competitive Swimming. “It is the Association’s way to thank the thousands of volunteers who have supported our activities in the last sixty years.”
Seeking Contributions from all Members
