President’s Message

Dear members of the NAA community,

As we start preparing for the 2024 season, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Alison Short and I’ve spent the majority of my life in, or around a NAA pool. I’ve hit the ground running in the last few weeks, but I did want to pause and say thank you to Martin and Daniel for all their work over the last few years.

Happy 60th Birthday NAA! Your community spirit over the last 60 years has added to the children’s lifelong memories across the island of Montreal and stretch across Canada. This summer community is unique and other communities are envious of this wonderful tradition.

Safety continues to be at the forefront of the NAA’s offerings in both recreational and competitive programs. Preparations for this summer are well under way. We are in the planning stage for the programs and schedules alike. Your board members have been reflecting on last year and adjusting for 2024 based on their observations and your feedback.

Like many of you, I am looking forward to this summer. Please come say hi, introduce yourself, and let me know how we can continue to provide safe, fun and community spirit to this broad community.

All the best this summer,

Alison
