The Northshore Aquatic Association cordially invites you to be part of our unique summer community.

By sponsoring the 2025 NAA Competitive Swimming Programme, your organization will contribute to providing fun, accessible and community-first swimming activities to over 1,200 children and families throughout Montréal.

Please note that sponsorship conditions are flexible, and we will work with you to personalize your contribution and provide you with the most beneficial partnership.

About The NAA Competitive Swimming Programme

Each summer, the Northshore Aquatic Association’s Competitive Swimming activities bring together over 1,200 swimmers from 16 outdoor pools across Montréal. With the help of 100+ volunteers, we organize and host nearly 40 swimming competition within 6 weeks.

As it has been over the last 60 years, the NAA is entirely run by dedicated volunteers who enable the aquatic community to prosper. Our organization is entirely not-for-profit and supported by generous community contributions.

A Community-First Approach

We first and foremost foster a fun, participatory and accessible aquatic community. In fact, over half of our participants do not practice Competitive Swimming in a federated club. For many, NAA Competitive Swimming represents their main activities during the summer school break.

We strive to create a safe and healthy environment in which children of all ages can develop and pursue swimming while having fun. At the core of the success of this objective are our member pools, which enable us to reach members in several communities.

This approach is unique, proper to Montréal and cannot be found elsewhere in Canada or in the United States.

Your Impact in the Community

With your support, the NAA will be able to develop its Competitive Swimming activities, by enhancing accessibility, improving community engagement and ensuring long-term sustainability. Amongst others, your contributions will help us with the following:

Purchase necessary season equipment, such as swimming cards, awards and stopwatches;
Help offset the cost of organizing competitions and community events for member pools;
Stimulate participation in our weekly competitions and activities
Reduce barriers to participation;
Support and organize community initiatives, such as local fundraisers for charitable organizations;
Support new swimmers with bursaries to join competitive swimming clubs;
Host events and workshops to develop and inspire swimmers and volunteers with the skills and mindsets to succeed;
Run trainings to certify future volunteers and swimming officials.

Audience

Over six weeks in 2024,

A total of 1,273 participating swimmers over the season.
An average of 752 weekly participating swimmers, in addition to their families.
Nearly 10,000 individual swims over the season.
A total of 229 swimmers participating in the Summer Swim Meet.
A total of 464 swimmers participating in the Time Trials, across two hosting pools.
A total of 290 swimmers participating in the NAA Championship ‘Big’ Meet.
