Swimming for the Community: Competitive Swimming VP Publishes 2025 Executive Report

On September 8th, the Vice-President of Competitive Swimming released his End-of-Season Executive Report on the activities of Competitive Swimming in 2025. The report was published ahead of the final General Meeting, on September 15, when the Vice-President intends to present its contents to the Assembly.

“The 2025 report stands out as one of the most ambitious and transformative in recent memory,” said Leniyo Amayao, Vice-President of Competitive Swimming. “We have worked hard to introduce numerous partnerships, opportunities and projects which will lead the Competitive Swimming Program into a new phase.”

Highlights of the 2025 Executive Report:

  • Launching the Million Metres Initiative in partnership with Le Phare, Children’s Palliative Care Centre: For the first time in its history, the NAA partnered with Le Phare to organize a membership-wide awareness campaign which supports the largest palliative care centre for children in Québec.
  • Signing a volunteer partnership with the YMCA: The NAA welcomed YMCA youth to volunteer at our events, creating new opportunities for community engagement.
  • Collaborating with the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue to organize an Open House meet: On July 8th, 2025, the NAA and the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue (SAB) successfully hosted an Open House event at the City’s outdoor municipal pool.
  • Securing new sponsorships after six years without support: Competitive Swimming is proud to welcome Beta Bloc and Domino’s as season-long and event partners.
  • Completing the Digital Transformation: After three seasons of development, NAA Competitive Swimming finalized its transition to robust digital systems that make operations more efficient, reliable, and informative.
  • Giving the Membership a Voice: The first-ever formal survey project was launched in 2025, allowing members to share their opinions and suggestions for the Program’s future.

Survey Report Released – Phase I

In parallel, the Vice-President also released his report on the first phase of the Competitive Swimming Survey.This report will serve as the foundation for future plans.

Statistics: Participation Grows

The season welcomed 98 more swimmers compared to 2024, bolstered by the addition of two new teams.
