The Surrey Aquatic Centre and the NAA Joint Meet Organizing Committee are pleased to host the 2025 Division B Time Trials.
Registration deadline: Jul 27, 2025, 13:00.

The Meet
Date and Time
Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at 07:30
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the meet will take place on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025.
Registration and Scratches
Registration must be completed before Sunday, Jul. 27th, 2025, via the standardized NAA Swimmer List.
Only members having competed in at least two Dual Meets are eligible.
Age Group
The age of a swimmer is determined on June 30th of the applicable year.
- A swimmer can participate in their respective age category, or that of any older age group.
- Any swimmer can participate in the ‘Open’ category.
Number of Authorized Events per Swimmer
- Swimmers competing in any category except the ‘Open’ category can participate as follows:
Either,
- 2 individual events and 1 relay; or
- 1 individual event and 2 relays.
- Regardless of age, swimmers only competing in the ‘Open’ category can participate as follows:
3 individual events and 1 relay.
- Swimmers participating in another category, in addition to the ‘Open’ category, are limited to:
2 individual events and 1 relay.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Time Trials, swimmers must meet the following conditions:
- Compete in at least 2 dual meets; or
- Compete in at least 1 dual meet, if the pool of individual was only scheduled for less than 5 dual meets.
Any swimmer in violation of this rule will be disqualified; the totality of the points they had amassed for their team will be revoked.
The number of entries follows the rules below:
- Teams are permitted 3 entries per individual event (8 & Under; 9-10 categories).
- Teams are permitted 2 entries per individual event (Other categories not listed above)
- Teams are permitted 1 entry per relay event.

Deck Entries
A limited number of deck entries (late entries) will be permitted. All deck entry requests must be submitted to the Clerk of course at the latest 30 minutes before the start of the meet.

Pool
Six-lane, 25m bassin.
Amenities
Men’s and Women’s locker rooms, changing rooms, bathrooms, showers and lockers are available. An accessible washroom is also available.
Personal effects are the responsibility of individuals. The City of Dorval and the NAA are not responsible for any broken, lost or stolen items. Items should not be left unattended. It is highly discouraged to bring unnecessary valuable items. The use of personal locks is highly encouraged.
A table will be provided to each team. Visitors and teams are highly encouraged to bring additional shading, such as tents and umbrellas.
Swimmers, coaches, officials and spectators should bring sunscreen, a hat and a refillable water bottle.
Cleanliness
The collaboration of all visitors is required to keep the pool and surrounding areas clean. Garbage bins and recycling bins will be available throughout the venue.
Available Food for Purchase
A barbecue and canteen will sell food, snacks and beverages throughout the competition.
Spectators
Upon arrival, spectators are asked to park in the parking lot at the venue. When at full capacity, additional parking will be available at the address below:

Spectators enter the pool area through the gate located to the left of the main building. There will be bleachers, seats, and benches available to spectators watching the races. A barbecue during the meet will sell food and drinks.
Water bottles will not be sold for sustainable reasons. Water to refill bottles is available on-site.
Swimmers
Swimmers enter through the gate located to the left of the main building.
Marshalling
A marshalling area will organize swimmers into heats. It is the responsibility of coaches and swimmers to arrive at the marshalling area on time. Swimmers should arrive to the marshalling area at least 15 minutes before their race.
To prevent crowding, only competing swimmers and one (1) coach shall be permitted from the marshalling area onwards. All other individuals must remain behind the marked delimitations.
Health and Safety
The collaboration of all visitors is required to keep the pool and surrounding areas safe. Unsafe and disrespectful behaviours are not tolerated. Official NAA regulations, policies and codes will be enforced.
The Northshore Aquatic Association will not tolerate any form of offensive, aggressive or violent behaviour. The NAA reserves the right to expel any individual in violation of the Regulation on Safety at Competitive Swimming Events, and/or the Policy on Violence, Abuse, Harassment or Misconduct in Competitive Swimming.
Warm-Up Period
Swimmers must enter into the water feet first, from a seated position. Diving and block starts are only authorized when one-way swimming, in the direction away from the starting block, is enforced. This includes backstroke starts. Coaches can designate any assigned lane to them for one-way swimming.
Swimmers must keep right when in a lane where swimming is observed in both directions.
Flutter boards and pull buoys are permitted during warm-up periods. Hand paddles, flippers (fins), snorkels and ankle bands are proscribed. All swimmers must wear a decent bathing suit adapted for swimming.
Notwithstanding the paragraph above, Meet Management and the referee reserves the right to prohibit any equipment that is susceptible to cause harm to an individual.
Individuals may not swim during the warm up period without the presence of an assigned coach on deck. Swimmers who cannot swim 25m without assistance, or without a flotation device, must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult. For the purposes of this document, a responsible adult is defined as any person above the age of 14.
Responsible adults must be able to see all swimmers under their care, and be sufficiently in reach of swimmers to intervene when necessary. Coaches are responsible of determining the number of responsible adults in the water necessary to ensure the safety of swimmers.
It is the responsibility of each Para Swimmer’s coach to provide the necessary assistance and/or equipment to each of their athletes.
Coaches must attempt to give priority to athletes swimming backstroke.
Prevention of Crowding
Coaches, swimmers and spectators must remain clear of certain designated areas. In particular, individuals must not block the movement within the deck area, nor block the main entry/exit.
To prevent crowding, participants must remain attentive to the instructions of volunteers and officials.
Traffic and Parking
Drivers must collaborate with the instructions of on-site staff. To prevent incidents, visitors are asked not leave children unattended in areas with car traffic.
Prerogative of Meet Management
Meet management reserves the right to expel any individual in violation of applicable health and safety regulations.
Information for Coaches
A Coaches’ Meeting will take place at 07:45 am inside the main building. A minimum of one coach per team must attend the meeting.
Races begin at 9 a.m.
Information for Volunteers and Officials
Officials and volunteers are asked to arrive at 07:30 a.m. and register at the officials’ table. Safety marshalls must arrive by 7:15 in order to supervise warm-up periods.
An Officials’ Meeting will take place at 8:20.
Officials will be provided with lunch and water throughout the meet. Officials are asked to bring a reusable water bottle to be refilled as needed.
Recorders and Chief Finish Judges will be work from inside the Surrey Centre with two computers featuring the excel file and connected to a printer. Calculators and pens will be available for Chief Finish Judges.
Stopwatches
All pools must bring stopwatches for the timers provided.
Decorum
Officials and volunteers are asked to wear a white shirt.
Participating Team Food Obligation
Per §2.6.16 of the Constitution, participating teams must provide food, as allocated by the Joint Meet Organizing Committee.
