Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at 07:30
In the event of unforeseen circumstance, the meet will take place on Sunday, July 20th, 2025.
Registration and Scratches
Registration must be completed before Sunday, Jul. 20th, 2025, via the standardized NAA Swimmer List.
To be eligible for the Summer Swim Meet, a swimmer must meet the following conditions:
- The swimmer is 14 years of age or younger; and
- The swimmer has not participated in any winter aquatic program in the previous 24 months. This includes “winter” swimming, synchronized swimming, waterpolo or triathlon. Taking swimming lessons during the winter season, or partaking in school-run swimming competitions are not activities considered to be a winter aquatic program.
Per convention, “recreational” swimmers are considered as winter swimmers.
The number of entries and authorized events per swimmer is as follows:
- Swimmers may swim in a maximum of 3 events. These events may be in either their own age category, or one older than theirs.
- Teams are permitted 3 entries per individual event.
The Vice-President of Competitive Swimming can accept or refuse substitutes or deck entries.
Substituting entries may be accepted on the day of the meet. Such requests must be made with the Clerk of the Course, at the latest, 30 minutes before the start of the meet.
Deck entries may be accepted on the day of the meet. Such requests must be made, at the latest, 30 minutes before the start of the meet. The conditions above must be met.

Portable chairs, or camping chairs, are not permitted in certain designated zones.
Swimmers
Swimmers enter through the gate located to the right of the main building.
Marshalling
A marshalling area will organize swimmers into heats. It is the responsibility of coaches and swimmers to arrive at the marshalling area on time. Swimmers should arrive to the marshalling area at least 15 minutes before their race.
To prevent crowding, only competing swimmers and one (1) coach shall be permitted from the marshalling area onwards. All other individuals must remain behind the marked delimitations.
Health and Safety
The collaboration of all visitors is required to keep the pool and surrounding areas safe. Unsafe and disrespectful behaviours are not tolerated. Official NAA regulations, policies and codes will be enforced.
The Northshore Aquatic Association will not tolerate any form of offensive, aggressive or violent behaviour. The NAA reserves the right to expel any individual in violation of the Regulation on Safety at Competitive Swimming Events, and/or the Policy on Violence, Abuse, Harassment or Misconduct in Competitive Swimming.
Warm-Up Period
Swimmers must enter into the water feet first, from a seated position. Diving and block starts are only authorized when one-way swimming, in the direction away from the starting block, is enforced. This includes backstroke starts. Coaches can designate any assigned lane to them for one-way swimming.
Swimmers must keep right when in a lane where swimming is observed in both directions.
Flutter boards and pull buoys are permitted during warm-up periods. Hand paddles, flippers (fins), snorkels and ankle bands are proscribed. All swimmers must wear a decent bathing suit adapted for swimming.
Notwithstanding the paragraph above, Meet Management and the referee reserves the right to prohibit any equipment that is susceptible to cause harm to an individual.
Individuals may not swim during the warm up period without the presence of an assigned coach on deck. Swimmers who cannot swim 25m without assistance, or without a flotation device, must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult. For the purposes of this document, a responsible adult is defined as any person above the age of 14.
Responsible adults must be able to see all swimmers under their care, and be sufficiently in reach of swimmers to intervene when necessary. Coaches are responsible of determining the number of responsible adults in the water necessary to ensure the safety of swimmers.
It is the responsibility of each Para Swimmer’s coach to provide the necessary assistance and/or equipment to each of their athletes.
Coaches must attempt to give priority to athletes swimming backstroke.
Prevention of Crowding
Coaches, swimmers and spectators must remain clear of certain designated areas. In particular, individuals must not block the movement within the deck area, nor block the main entry/exit.
To prevent crowding, participants must remain attentive to the instructions of volunteers and officials.
Traffic and Parking
Drivers must collaborate with the instructions of on-site staff. To prevent incidents, visitors are asked not leave children unattended in areas with car traffic.
