The NAA and the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Partner to Organize an Open House Swim Meet

The NAA and the Vice-President of Competitive Swimming announce that it has successfully completed, in partnership with the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, an Open House event at the City’s outdoor municipal pool, on July 8th, 2025.
With the help of over a dozen volunteers, including three from the NAA Student Volunteer Experience Program, over 40 new swimmers were able to participate in an NAA Competitive Swimming swim meet during the 2025 Season.
Commonly known as SAB, the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue’s pool had been, until 2019, a member of the NAA Competitive Swimming circuit. Since March, the Vice-President of Competitive Swimming has been in contact with representatives from SAB to discuss a potential return to the Association in 2026.
The Open House meet sits amongst several other actions taken by the Vice-President to prepare a swimming community, volunteer base and set of expertise for SAB to successfully transition back into the events of the Association.
“The entire NAA Community welcomes Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and its swimmers back to the Association. We are all extremely excited and overjoyed by the prospect of Sainte-Anne’s return”, says Leniyo Amayao, Vice-President of Competitive Swimming.
At various moments during the 2025 Season, the NAA and its members pools will welcome representatives from SAB to several meets, in order to cover the logistics of organizing a swim team and hosting meets. The NAA looks forward to supporting their full reintegration into the circuit in 2026.
The Association extends its sincere thanks to the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue for their partnership and enthusiasm in making this event possible.
