Building Community, Celebrating Teams: The NAA Reveals the Team Spirit Initiative for the 2025 Competitive Swimming Season

The Northshore Aquatic Association (NAA) is proud to launch its new pilot initiative for the 2025 Competitive Swimming Season: the Team Spirit Award.

Focusing on four elements—Team “Psych-Out” (sketch), Team Cheering, Team Representation, and Respect / Participation in NAA—teams will be encouraged to demonstrate their team spirit at meets with cheers, apparel and sketches over the entire 2025 season.

A selection panel from the Joint Meet Organizing Committee will evaluate nominations according to the pre-established criteria, and based on observations made throughout the season. The JMOC will then present the first Team Spirit Award to the winning team, at the annual NAA Championship ‘Big’ Meet.

With this initiative, the NAA wishes to highlight its core values which differentiate it from the rest of the swimming community:

• And a fun, positive atmosphere.
