Dear Families, Volunteers, Swimmers and Coaches,

I am pleased to be amongst you once again for our annual Championship ‘Big’ Meet at Briarwood Pool. Today, we are celebrating the collective effort and dedication of our staff and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks to deliver a competitive, challenging and festive event for our youth and families. 

As we end our 62nd season, I would like to take the time to recognize the tremendous and long-lasting impact that our activities have had over the decades on hundreds of youth across Montreal. Behind every developing athlete, remember that there were dozens of volunteers and coaches who encouraged these young swimmers to reach the level of performance we witness today.

It is in our community that you will find tomorrow’s national athletes and community leaders. We are the backbone of the swimming community. Let us continue to work together so that more children and families will benefit from our Programme.

And swimmers: Swim and race! Do your best. And no matter what, don’t forget to HAVE FUN while racing.
